Ship who you want, stand for what you believe in, but don’t crosstag.

  2. sasukes-mistress:

When shippers believe eye sex makes the ship canon.

When shippers believe that crosstagging helps their ship to be canon.

  3. foolishyoungling:

People keep saying NaruSaku can’t happen because Hinata wouldn’t be happy. I disagree. Why? Because of this:

You can see that Hinata saw Sakura (Naruto’s dream girl) hugging him and she saw he was shocked. Was she upset or jealous? No. She saw he was happy with Sakura, and she was okay with…

Maturity means you have the grace to accept things which aren’t meant for you. If anything, you should know that the Naruto series has always been realistic, and not the kind of story where Naruto gets everything he wants.

Also, STOP CROSSTAGGING. You may think that your opinion is so logical, but the SasuSaku tag DOES NOT need NaruSaku posts.

If Naruto grew up, you should too.

  4. SSMonth Day 18

    Title:Convenient Excuses

Summary:When Sasuke drops his guard at the worse possible moment, Sakura reacts instinctively. But has she wormed her way through his defenses as well?

Disclaimer:I don’t own Naruto, but HEY, I might as well because look who’s NOT being an asshat.

Prompt:Dropping Your Guard from day eighteen of the SasuSakuMonth Prompts.

    Warning(s):Minor gore, not bad.

Author’s Note:Guys, I love protective Sasuke. Protective Sasuke is the best.

With their A-rank mission drawing to a close, Sasuke and Sakura had formed a relaxed formation as they drew close to the border, scroll in hand. Those who had guarded the scroll were long dead, and their base devastated. Usually, a mission of this kind required a squad of Jonin, but Tsunade had determined that it was something the two of them could handle.

And she was right, Sakura thought happily. This mission had been a perfect opportunity to prove her worth a kunoichi, and she couldn’t help but feel successful. Twice she had caught Sasuke by surprise with her extensive understanding of strategy, and thrice she had glimpsed impressed looks as she eliminated her foes.

No, she hadn’t been blessed by the Kage of six paths, but Sakura was a ninja worth reckoning with and it was about time Sasuke realized it, dammit!

Out of the corner of her eye, she observed her partner. He had only spoken when necessary since their retrieval of the scroll, and seemed lost in thought. Had she been younger, the silence would have eaten away at her, and caused her to reach out to him. With age had come patience, however, and Sakura was now more than capable of holding her tongue. Sasuke would open up when he was ready, and not a second before.

    Until then, she would wait.

She had just begun to swing her gaze back towards the path when she caught a flicker of a shadow launch itself at Sasuke. Her green eyes widened in horror, and her body moved automatically.

She didn’t think, she didn’t speak, she just reacted.

Chiune Sugihara. This man saved 6000 Jews. He was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania. When the Nazis began rounding up Jews, Sugihara risked his life to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away. He saved 6000 lives. The world didn’t know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died.

Why can’t we have a movie about him?

He was often called “Sempo”, an alternative reading of the characters of his first name, as that was easier for Westerners to pronounce.

His wife, Yukiko, was also a part of this; she is often credited with suggesting the plan. The Sugihara family was held in a Soviet POW camp for 18 months until the end of the war; within a year of returning home, Sugihara was asked to resign - officially due to downsizing, but most likely because the government disagreed with his actions.

He didn’t simply grant visas - he granted visas against direct orders, after attempting three times to receive permission from the Japanese Foreign Ministry and being turned down each time. He did not “misread” orders; he was in direct violation of them, with the encouragement and support of his wife.

He was honoured as Righteous Among the Nations in 1985, a year before he died in Kamakura; he and his descendants have also been granted permanent Israeli citizenship. He was also posthumously awarded the Life Saving Cross of Lithuania (1993); Commander’s Cross Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland (1996); and the Commander’s Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2007). Though not canonized, some Eastern Orthodox Christians recognize him as a saint.

Sugihara was born in Gifu on the first day of 1900, January 1. He achieved top marks in his schooling; his father wanted him to become a physician, but Sugihara wished to pursue learning English. He deliberately failed the exam by writing only his name and then entered Waseda, where he majored in English. He joined the Foreign Ministry after graduation and worked in the Manchurian Foreign Office in Harbin (where he learned Russian and German; he also converted to the Eastern Orthodox Church during this time). He resigned his post in protest over how the Japanese government treated the local Chinese citizens. He eventually married Yukiko Kikuchi, who would suggest and encourage his acts in Lithuania; they had four sons together. Chiune Sugihara passed away July 31, 1986, at the age of 86. Until her own passing in 2008, Yukiko continued as an ambassador of his legacy.

It is estimated that the Sugiharas saved between 6,000-10,000 Lithuanian and Polish Jewish people.

It’s a tragedy that the Sugiharas aren’t household names. They are among the greatest heroes of WWII. Is it because they were from an Axis Power? Is it because they aren’t European? I don’t know. But I’ve decided to always reblog them when they come across my dash. If I had the money, I would finance a movie about them.

    He told an interviewer:

You want to know about my motivation, don’t you? Well. It is the kind of sentiments anyone would have when he actually sees refugees face to face, begging with tears in their eyes. He just cannot help but sympathize with them. Among the refugees were the elderly and women. They were so desperate that they went so far as to kiss my shoes, Yes, I actually witnessed such scenes with my own eyes. Also, I felt at that time, that the Japanese government did not have any uniform opinion in Tokyo. Some Japanese military leaders were just scared because of the pressure from the Nazis; while other officials in the Home Ministry were simply ambivalent.

People in Tokyo were not united. I felt it silly to deal with them. So, I made up my mind not to wait for their reply. I knew that somebody would surely complain about me in the future. But, I myself thought this would be the right thing to do. There is nothing wrong in saving many people’s lives….The spirit of humanity, philanthropy…neighborly friendship…with this spirit, I ventured to do what I did, confronting this most difficult situation—and because of this reason, I went ahead with redoubled courage.

He died in nearly complete obscurity in Japan. His neighbors were shocked when people from all over, including Israeli diplomatic personnel, showed up at quiet little Mr. Sugihara’s funeral.

This is a real medical condition known as Gan’s Syndrome, an ocular retinoblastoma occurring in 0.0004% of the total retinoblastoma cases. Ruptured blood vessels create often symmetrical, or at least fractal patterns and though the eye can see, visual acuity is lowered. It can be treated but never cured, though most suffering with the condition live normal lives. Gan’s Syndrome was founded by Dr. Sharon Gan.

wow, so spine chillingly beautiful. Sometimes nature is so beautiful even if it’s hindering a person’s life.

sadly yet again another fake post
A quick google and you can see nothing by this name exists.

  9. Hi, Mj.

I dreamt of you again last night. It’s really weird to see you there when I haven’t thought of you in a while. I even read my 9,013 word count journal entries about you last week but I felt nothing. I thought I was finally relieved of you.

But last night, last night you were there again. Smiling at me. Looking at me straight in the eye. Holding my wrist. My eyes scouring your broad shoulders I have countlessly daydreamed laying my head on. In that dream, some of your friends didn’t like me, while some even called me hot. That didn’t bother me, what bothered me was the warmth I actually felt in that dream, so real, so warm, so you.

When that alarm clock shook me awake, I opened my eyes to a world that is empty of you. No texts, no chats, no hellos. I have gone on for so long without you and I should be okay by now. But you make a single reappearance in a dream and here you are again.

They tell me that two years from now, everything will make sense. But it’s already been a year. I’ve been in love with you for a year  now. I’ve been searching for you in a mass of UP Diliman students, I’ve been “casually” passing by past your org’s tambayan (hang-out place) hoping to see just your silhouette but to no avail, I’ve been walking around campus instead of taking the Ikot jeepney just for the probability that I might run into you.

But there hasn’t been anything of you since December. I wish I could replay that moment in the Lantern Parade where we crossed paths, and you waving maniacally at me with that cocky smile of yours. It was 7 seconds, but I would give up any day, any hour, any second just to play that on repeat.

But please don’t visit  me in my dreams again. These are spaces I prefer to have a perfect life in: spaces without memories of us soaked in the rain, images without your face, me without feelings for you.

How ironic it is to dream of a dream without the one I love. But I have long since accepted the fact that you will never love me back. You will never have to read posts and articles I make sure you will never come across because all I really want is to turn you into literature because somebody said that that’ s the easiest way to get over someone. I want you but I need a world without you.

I have been making progress for months now, but I am back to Day One. So please, Mj, don’t visit me anywhere — reality or not — again. Let me let you go.
