Today’s the last day of the last SasuSaku month we held before Naruto ends (and before SasuSaku becomes canon…).
I’m not who I am today without SasuSaku.
SasuSaku who taught me what shipping and feels are.
SasuSaku who saved me from wallowing on my own heartbreaks (because I had to wallow on their angst instead.)
SasuSaku who has inspired me to reach out to other fans and share my thoughts.
SasuSaku who has been my oncall 24/7 bestfriend since I was 13 years old.
SasuSaku who I don’t know how to live without anticipation of new chapters, new moments, new eye sex.
I am still in denial that Naruto is about to end, and the story of SasuSaku will too. But I refuse to let go or forget the memories, the emotions, and the lessons I got from shipping SasuSaku.
Long when I’m raising kids or being an aunt, I’ll tell them about the story of the naive gir who fell in love with a broken boy, and how they reached their personal salvation together. I’ll remember all these SasuSaku entries, these SasuSaku months, these funny shipping wars when I’m 70 and look back upon the days that SasuSaku and THE NARUTO TUMBLR FANDOM has touched (
controlled) my life for almost a decade.
I’ll always be a SasuSaku shipper whenever, wherever, and nothing can make me forget all of these. All of you.
Thank you, SasuSaku, thank you, SasuSaku Tumblr fandom. <3
Here’s to the most heartbreaking but def most exciting 5 months ahead.
