1. I came across this manga from an 8tracks playlist, thinking that those two characters looked familiar, and so I Googled Searched the image.

It’s a 10-chapter (I don’t know if there’s still an 11th chapter but the 10th is a nice enough ending) manga series by Takano Ichigo entitled, “Orange,” and is about a 16 year-old girl who receives letters from her 26 year-old self telling her “not to do anything thay she will regret” and to “save Kakeru.”

This series reminded me of 13 Reasons Why bu Jay Asher, but this is filled with hope and friendship. I don’t have a strong regard for Naho because of her tendency to be very passive, but I liked her character development throughout. What amazed me though was Suwa’s character. I never knew that a shoujo character OR ANYONE could actually be that selfless when it comes to love and relationships.

Just. God. Thank God for you Suwa.

The existence of a parallel universe def made it more interesting and its multi-dimensional characters each leaves a mark on the readers’ heart.

I don’t know why it’s called, “Orange,” but I’m sure that this manga has taught me that love… love can be found in letting go.
